This Cookie Policy explains how Marginalia (http://localhost:3000) uses cookies and similar technologies.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files stored on your device by your browser. "Similar technologies" include local storage, which lets a site remember information in your browser.
2. What we use
We keep things minimal. Our site uses only strictly necessary storage:
Your browser's local storage remembers the products in your cart between visits, and session storage remembers that this visit has already been counted. Both stay on your device and are cleared when you finish an order, clear your browser data or close the tab.
We also keep simple, anonymous visit counts (for example "how many people viewed this product today"). They are stored as totals only: no cookies, no IP addresses and no personal identifiers. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal, we don't count your visit at all.
The store owner signs in to a private dashboard using a secure cookie that is only ever set for the owner. Customers never receive it.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics.
3. Third parties
Our host (Cloudflare) may set technical cookies or process technical request data needed to deliver and secure the site. Fonts may be loaded from our own domain.
4. Managing storage
You can delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you do, your cart may not be remembered between visits, but the site will otherwise keep working.
5. Changes
If we add analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
